Sauce For Soldiers

Sauce For The Troops is a project born from a simple act of gratitude between two friends. Our hope is that you will join us in spreading this gratitude to all of our troops proudly serving throughout the Middle East and all over the world. Here is our story....

My good friend, David Boyd, is serving our great nation in Afghanistan. One day while chatting online with David, the topic turned to his missing food from home. More specifically, barbeque. Which led to a discussion of bbq sauce. David admitted he had heard of our bbq sauce, Reverend Marvin’s Gourmet BBQ Sauce, but had never tried it. I told him several bottles of our sauce would be on the way to Afghanistan the next day. It was the least we could do to show our gratitude. Once the package arrived, David sent me several messages raving about the sauce and how he looked forward each evening to using it on different foods. We were blown away by how a simple bbq sauce could put a smile on the face of a soldier.

A local paper picked up our story of the shipment as a nice “human interest” story. We even got a picture of David holding the bottle of sauce in the “Chow Hall.” We thought that would be the end of that. However, the response to the article was nothing short of overwhelming. In fact, folks started making unsolicited donations saying, “make sure to keep your sauce flowing to the troops over there.”

That’s where Sauce For The Troops was born. The feeling we got by knowing we brightened the day of a soldier was an immense sense of pride. To share that feeling with hundreds of others was staggering. We have set up this project to cover our costs to ship this “taste of home” to our troops. Whatever amount you decide to donate, you’ll soon find it won’t come close to the amount of joy that will fill your heart. God bless.

Reverend Marvins Gourmet BBQ Sauce
Since the 1960's, Marvin Lynch has been serving as interim pastor for churches that have lost their minister. Most of these churches learned that not only was he a very gifted minister, but also quite the BBQ chef. His "secret recipe" sauce has been the cornerstone of his BBQ perfection as many family members, friends and congregation members can attest. See for yourself why Reverend Marvin's Gourmet BBQ Sauce is called "A truly unique Southern Delicacy."

It's absolutely delicious on chicken, pork chops, ribs, beef and, of course, barbeque. We also recommend pouring some Reverend Marvin's on your plate so you can "Mop Up" with it and experience the full flavor.

He is now proud to serve it to the men and women of our Armed Forces.
